ABOUT THE BAND:
Quiet Oaks is an American indie band from Salt Lake City, UT. Consisting of members Dane Sandberg (vocals, guitar), Spencer Sayer (drums), Jon Butler (guitar), and Mike Moon (bass). The group plays a unique form of rock and roll. They maintain a rowdy and chaotic energy, while providing a familiar and welcoming sound.
The band was formed in the spring of 2015. At that time, all the members lived in a house together just outside of downtown Salt Lake City. They quickly started recording demos and writing new material. That summer they were given the opportunity to tour. With 30 days to prepare and nothing to promote, those original demos became the bands first EP ‘Put Your Dreams Where They Belong’.
Since that time, the band hasn’t slowed down. In 2016 they maintained a consistent tour schedule; taking them across the country multiple times. They have recorded sessions with Audiotree, Daytrotter, and Jam in the Van. They have shared the stage with Cold War Kids, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Matthew Logan Vasquez, The Cave Singers, Jamestown Revival, Morning Teleportation, Jeff Rosenstock, and many more.
“One of the most electric performances from a Utah band that I'd ever seen: a truly feral frontman, big guitar solos, infectious hooks that channeled Thin Lizzy-esque classic rock, glam rock and early 2000s New York rock in equal measure” – The Daily Herald
“They’ve gigged prolifically ever since, adding to their already considerable fan base. The hard-hitting, whiskey spilling sound of Quiet Oaks is carried by front man, Dane Sandberg, who fills the stage with his relentless energy and wide vocal range.” – City Weekly
“And just like that, Quiet Oaks explode with their debut LP. They have created an album that focuses on their strengths, curating something that many bands don’t get right on their first full-length go-around” – Slug Magazine
